Safe Voices
The Safe Voices project is a joint SDU venture between Adult Drug Services and children, young people and families services supporting families in and around Hartlepool.

The project offers emotional and practical support to both children and their parents who are affected by parental alcohol misuse.

Key workers engage children and their parents through one to one meetings or group work and fun family activities, aimed at strengthening family values and relationships, raising confidence and self-esteem, positive parenting and coping strategies.

We provide children and young people with a ‘Safe Voice’ to communicate any worries or problems that they are having.

Referrals
  • Families living in Hartlepool where parents who are misusing alcohol and have children aged between 5 and 11 years.
