V
V is led by the cares, interests, passions and beliefs of young people. A government study into youth action and engagement (the Russell Commission) collected the views of over 6000 young people.

V work with organisations like DISC to build on the existing systems within the voluntary sector. V aim to extend and improve upon what already exists and ensure that wherever possible this is youth led too. V are funded using an innovative Government and private sector model, which ensures independence but also allows V to make a considerable impact within the sector.

V has three main tasks:
DISC through funding with V can provide volounteers with the following:-
  • Up to £60 per week (including expenses).
  • Practical work experience to go on their CV.
  • Relevant accredited training.
  • Recognition and celebration of their achievements.
