The DASS projects within Darlington include; an 8 place accommodation service for people with substance misuse issues and an 8-10 place floating supporting scheme for the same client group. Referrals to both services are limited because the service user has to be on a programme of support regarding their substance misuse issues and be willing to engage with the support service. Referrals from NECA, Social Services, Darlington Council, health services and the Elmfield Centre.
Accommodation Based and Floating Support - for people with a history of substance misuse – we were recently successful in tendering for this project and are currently in the process of setting up this scheme in Darlington. It is funded by Darlington Supporting People. We will provide accommodation based support to eight people and floating support for ten people.
