The aim of Darlington Accommodation and Support Service (DASS) is to provide a range of appropriate housing related support to enable tenants recovering from substance misuse to be supported through the transition of change to an independent lifestyle in permanent housing.

Referrals can be accepted from partnership agencies which include NECA, NHS services, Probation, Darlington Borough Council Housing Department, First Stop, Substance Misuse Teams Drugs and Drug Interventions programme (DIP) who can clarify that the applicant is motivated and engaging in services.
Eligibility Criteria
- Aged 18 and over
- Living in the Darlington area
- Homeless or threatened with homelessness
- In need of housing support
- On a programme of support regarding substance misuse
- Willing to engage
- Working with one or more of the agencies mentioned
