Our Adult Drug & Alcohol Treatment and Recovery Services in Calderdale are seeking to recruit an experienced Lead practitioner. This critical role will take ownership for managing a team of recovery focussed workers contributing to the overall management and performance of the service yet retaining case level involvement and increasing opportunities for service users to achieve sustainable treatment outcomes. The post is fixed term for 12 months, with the possibility of a transition to permanent at the end of the 12 month period. A secondment would be considered for internal applicants.

The role will be the first point of contact for visitors to the service and coordinate timely responses to enquiries made, providing a range of administrative/receptionist support to the drug and alcohol service, ensuring efficient and effective operations on a daily basis.

DISC’s Independent Living Unit offers a range of housing-related support services, advice and guidance to help people obtain accommodation and sustain independent living. The focus of our work is to help people progress towards a sustained independent lifestyle. You will be working as part of a wider team to provide housing support, delivering a support package to help offenders (MAPPA [Level 2&3], PPO’s, generic) to live independently and progress towards sustained housing recovery.

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to support with the maintenance of a large volunteer workforce, who is organised and able to work across various sites within Leeds. Harm Reduction & Criminal Justice Coordinator

The post holder will be providing the lead on harm reduction work across the county. Developing and delivering an action plan for this work stream, the post holder will ensure that harm reduction is embedded into wider service provision, is delivered effectively and operates within quality frameworks and evidence based practice guidelines. Alongside this, the role is also required to contribute to the successful delivery of criminal justice interventions, via liaison with key internal staff and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge and experience of harm reduction, along with an understanding of the wider issues experienced by drug and alcohol users and those within the criminal justice system. They will also have a demonstrable ability to contribute to staff training and development and the skills needed to lead and deliver outcomes. With a responsibility for ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators, the drive and initiative to monitor and maintain performance will be essential.
