Healthy, Happy, Kitchen - GOALS Cafe Open Day, Ferryhill Ladder Centre

On Tuesday 3rd April our GOALS, Healthy, Happy, Kitchen Cafe officially opened in Ferryhill.

 

The Cafe will help provide healthy meals for families locally as well as providing crucial work experience for people from our GOALS service with learning disabilities.

 

"The open day was a great success with over 100 people from the community there" said project manager Margaret. "We are very pleased and proud to be associated with this community group. DISC are committed to supporting people to realise their potential and through this project we can try to do this for people with learning disabilities in County Durham".

 

Thanks again to Gary Bennet Ambassador for Sunderland Football Club who cut the official opening ribbon.

 

Ladder Centre Opening hours, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, up until 8pm for youth groups as well as 9am to 12pm Saturday mornings.
