Additional Support - Brokerage, Person Centred Planning and Advocacy
We have lots of support available for people who are choosing how to meet their support needs - some people may need support to develop their Person Centred Plan whereas others may only need help to find the resources and services needed to deliver the plan.
Our Service is independent of local authorities, the resource allocation process and any other services - the service user is presented with a range of options and, supported to truly express their views and receive the service they want and need.
In order to help people make informed choices and access services that meet individual needs, our Advocacy Service assists people to get the information they need to enable them to make choices about the services they receive, empowers them to choose the right service and enables them to express their views concerning their choices and preferences helping to build their Person Centred Plan and a successful package of support.
In order to develop a package of support, our Person Centred Planning Service enables people to explore their preferences and express their views on what is personally important and for others to share that journey.
We support people to identify their needs and aspirations and help them to devise a plan and choose services to meet those needs and achieve their goals.
The service will help people to obtain a greater level of coordinated support from friends, family and service providers and our specialist knowledge will help identify the support and services which best meet their needs and requirements.
This support will also ensure that people maximise the benefit from their personal budget whilst complying with local and national guidance.
Our Brokerage Service supports people, on a one to one basis, to:-
- Explore their preferences and options
- Develop and source a package of support which effectively meets their needs
- Secure the financial services required to manage their personal budget
- Recruit their own personal assistant if needed
- Manage their personal assistant - we can provide ongoing support, supervision, training, manage payroll and ensure that all relevant and statutory checks are in place, reducing the fear of employing staff.
