Manchester Red Bank Accommodation provides housing related support in an abstinent environment with a focus on recovery from substance use. The project provides one to one key work sessions as well as running a specific group work programme to better enable our service users to maintain independent living and a positive move on from the service.
Manchester Resettlement Worker
Salary: £18,289 to £19,782
MCR supports adults with a range of complex issues and a history of failed tenancies and/or repeat homelessness and provides
comprehensive support to people moving on from temporary and supported accommodation into permanent tenancies. In addition, MCR supports clients whose tenancies are at risk to prevent homelessness.
Support for All (Housing Support)
Salary: £15,036 – £17,776
This is a temporary post until February 2019. DISC provide housing related support services in Darlington to young people and adults with varying levels of need which includes people with a history of substance misuse, offending behaviour, anti-social behaviour and mental health issues. You will be required to provide housing support to individuals, delivering a tailored support package to help them maintain a tenancy and live independently in the community.
Social Inclusion Project
Salary: £16,665 pa pro rata
We are looking to recruit passionate and proactive individuals to join our team in Hull and have a vacancy for a Community Navigator. The role is for a 2 year fixed term and will require you work 18.5 hours a week flexibly, including some evening and weekend working. You will be responsible for assisting the manager in effective day to day running of the project;
providing services and supporting access to other services by developing partnerships and providing assistance to service users. You will also assist with the development of recovery capital improvement activities and help us develop a social inclusion community within Hull, creating partnerships and access to services for those who are in need of further support.
Criminal Justice Worker (maternity cover, 30hpw)
Salary: £18,289 – £22,386 pro rata
Based within our Sunderland Service, you will be required to provide cell intervention/arrest referral, community support and assertive outreach services to substance misusers identified through pro-active contacts carried out in Police/Magistrate cells, and following Prison release to the locality. In addition to delivering a range of PSI interventions, the post holder will also facilitate all elements of court imposed Drug Rehabilitation Requirements (DRR’s) and Alcohol Treatment Requirements (ATR’s), in particular the group work element.
Repairs & Maintenance Operative
Location: based in Leeds, covering the North of England
You will carry out a range of activities which will include, but not limited to the following as required by the DISC Housing team:-
-Undertake general repairs and maintenance tasks as requested linking in with the current Ticket System.
-Support the staff including Area and Senior Managers within Hubs in relation to the facilities management of the building/s.
– Deputise for the Premises and Facilities Coordinator and act as liaison between Landlords/Agents and contractors when required ensuring works are done within a timely manner and meeting required specifications and regulations.
-Work alongside the Health and Safety Team with regard to site visits and audits.
-Provide a link with the landlord, contractors and Head Office to support Staff/Managers responsible for the premises to ensure that work and improvements are carried out to meet all regulatory standards.
-Undertake all general repairs and maintenance as required through the ‘Job Request’ process and the ‘Repairs and Maintenance Guidance’ document’s for both residential and office premises.

The Regional Hub Team provides management, co-ordination, research and evaluation for the project (based in Leeds).
